LoadScout.com Fades to Black

LoadScout.com is apparently the latest dot-com to go out of business. The Fort Collins, CO-based Internet load-matching service’s website has been pulled from cyberspace, and its toll-free customer service line is no longer in service. Launched in December 2000, LoadScout’s niche in the load-matching business was that users could access information over the phone or via fax with the same functionality
LoadScout.com is apparently the latest dot-com to go out of business. The Fort Collins, CO-based Internet load-matching service’s website has been pulled from cyberspace, and its toll-free customer service line is no longer in service.

Launched in December 2000, LoadScout’s niche in the load-matching business was that users could access information over the phone or via fax with the same functionality of the web. Its customer base was owner-operators and small fleets.

According to a January press release, LoadScout had registered hundreds of shippers and hundreds of trucking companies, representing more than 15,000 trucks, had also registered.
