Rumors of McLeod Software's death are greatly exaggerated, the company said yesterday. The maker of LoadMaster Enterprise transportation management software is not the publicly held company with a similar name that recently filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. McLeod Software said they have been mistaken for McLeodUSA, which filed for bankruptcy last month. Company spokesman Mark Stephens said McLeod Software is a privately held company that has been profitable for 15 years in a row and has no outside debt.
