The National Private Truck Council (NPTC) has launched its “Fleet Learning Center,” a comprehensive on-line training program designed to improve the management expertise of private fleet managers.

"This continuing-education opportunity provides private fleet managers with an exciting new vehicle for career growth," said Gary Petty, president & CEO of NPTC. "It allows students to navigate the most current thinking about private fleet management at their own pace through a unique and interactive format designed to customize the learning experience for each individual."

NPTC said the educational materials represent a compilation of information, best practices and operational excellence, and are the most in-depth and comprehensive resources available today for managing a private truck fleet.

The content, which NPTS said encompasses the body of knowledge needed to successfully complete the Certified Transportation Professional (CTP) program, is divided into five modules including fleet finances; safety, security and compliance; equipment and maintenance; operations; and human resources.

International Truck & Engine Co. and Idealease of North America provided funding to produce the Fleet Learning Center.
