Tuscon, AZ-based OrderPro Logistics Inc. said that it has acquired Kansas City-based Great Plains Transportation, which it intends to expand from seven to 21 trucks.
OrderPro CEO Richard L. Windorski said the acquisition was made in an effort to build a $50 million revenue base. He said the company anticipates operating revenues from the acquisition to exceed $3 million based on 21 power units.
"We will immediately begin pursing 3PL contracts with their customer base, which has the potential to increase revenues an additional $2-$4 million with strong profit margins," Windorski said.
Great Plains Transportation currently operates seven power units. OrderPro Logistics' initial plan is to increase power units to 14 within 60 days of operations control, followed by another seven the next 60 days.
