According to Pennzoil-Quaker State Co., its Pennzoil Long-Life extended warranty gear oils have completed all the requirements for Dana Commercial Vehicle Axle Div.’s SHAES256 extended initial drain interval spec.

That, said Pennzoil-Quaker State, places the gear lubes on the list of approved Roadranger lubricants for extended warranty coverage of 750,000 miles.

The warranty terms, according to Pennzoil-Quaker State, affirm that the mineral-based lubes may be used as initial fill for an extended drain interval of 500,000 miles and as service fill with a drain interval of 250,000 miles—the same as the synthetic-based lubricants on the Dana approval list.

“The Dana approval is yet another noteworthy validation that our products perform as well as or better than anything else on the market today,” said Monica Wysocki, product manager—gear lubes for Pennzoil-Quaker State.

“Among the many excellent performance characteristics of the Pennzoil lubricants are superior thermal and oxidation stability, better extreme temperature operation, reduced component wear and helping to promote longer seal life,” added Wysocki.

The gear oils are available in SAE grades 75W-90 and 80W-140. For more information, go to www.pennzoil-quakerstate.com.
