PeopleNet Communications has completed integration of its wireless fleet solution with Maddocks Systems fleet management software programs.

"By adding the PeopleNet interface to the suite of integrated communication partners working with TruckMate for Windows, I'm confident in saying our product integration is among the most complete among trucking software vendors in the U.S. and Canada," said Maddocks' president & CEO Robert Maddocks.

PeopleNet says its g2x wireless fleet solution is a customer-focused innovation that integrates GPS-based location tracking, two-way voice and data communications, and Internet-based fleet business tools to provide consistent, reliable communication between business owners, dispatchers, drivers and customers.

MacKinnon Transport Inc., Ontario, is among the first to use the integrated system for dispatching, vehicle locating and advanced mobile communications.

"The initial response from our drivers and owner-operators has been positive,” said Ron Plum, manager, finance & administration for MacKinnon Transport. “We anticipate refining the integration further to enhance the ROI and improve processes used to fulfill our customers' needs."
