Ryder System Inc. has been selected by PrimeSource Building Products Inc. to expand the current transportation services of its full-service lease to include dedicated contract carriage (DCC).

Under the multi-year deal, Ryder will manage all transportation of building products from PrimeSource's Dallas, El Paso, and Philadelphia distribution centers to retail stores throughout the U.S., including Home Depot, Lowe's, McCoy's, 84 Lumber and Sutherland.

"Our decision to outsource these functions was strongly influenced by Ryder's leadership in the industry and in its ability to provide a value-based solution that enhances customer service and efficiencies in our supply chain," said PrimeSource manager of transportation and logistics Greg Williams.
