ShipLogix has beefed up the trucking component of its web-based, multi-modal transportation management system.

The company said the enhancement allows carriers using the system to collaborate with their shippers to receive and view all essential shipment information within five seconds, enter data for each shipment and then confirm multiple shipments with one keyboard action. Carriers can now also determine what information to view and how it is presented on the screen to speed response time.

For example, ShipLogix said a carrier can opt to have a single list of all shipments needing proofs of delivery and shipments within that list sorted by scheduled delivery date to see and act on time-sensitive shipments first. This enables the user to be in and out of the system in two mouse clicks.

A standard EDI messaging component has also been added to give carriers a choice and make it even simpler and quicker to manage transportation using a web-based system, the company added.
