Sprinter cab/chassis model rolls out

LAS VEGAS. At the International Trucking Show, DaimlerChrysler Vans LLC rolled out its new Sprinter cab/chassis model, which can accomodate all sorts of vocational bodies. Manufactured in Germany, it will be available this September. The cab/chassis will be offered in choice of 8,550 or 9,990 lbs. GVW rating and in three wheelbases, 118, 140 or 158 in. LAS VEGAS. At the International Trucking Show, DaimlerChrysler Vans LLC rolled out its new Sprinter cab/chassis model, which can accomodate all sorts of vocational bodies. Manufactured in Germany, it will be available this September.

The cab/chassis will be offered in choice of 8,550 or 9,990 lbs. GVW rating and in three wheelbases, 118, 140 or 158 in. Like all Sprinters, the new model is powered by a Mercedes-Benz 2.7-liter turbodiesel mated to a Mercedes-Benz five-speed automatic with overdrive.

Available options on the cab/chassis model will include rear window, trailer hitch, deletion of taillights, wiring harnesses for body interior lighting, and lengthening of taillight wiring harness.
