FedEx Freight , Jevic Transportation Inc. and SMC3 said this week they are raising rates for their transportation-related services.
The 5.9% increase at FedEx Freight will apply the company's two operating units – FedEx Freight East and FedEx Freight West – and take effect July 22.
The higher rate will apply to all intrastate and interstate traffic, including Canadian transborder and other international lanes, as well as minimum and other charges, FedEx Freight said.
Jevic said it will raise its rates 5.9% for all LTL shipments effective June 29. Truckload and partial truckload rates will be raised by 3%. SMC3 said its general rate committee has approved an overall rate hike of 6.41% effective Aug. 5.
