Maddocks Systems Inc. said that it has successfully developed TruckMate for Windows (TM4Win) to run on the IBM DB2 universal database. The company said development of the IBM DB2 software strategically positions it as the only trucking software provider with the ability to offer a Windows client-server solution to every tier of the trucking industry.

The decision to develop on the IBM DB2 database has also positioned TruckMate for Windows as the only Windows-based product for users of aging text-based AS/400 trucking software solutions, president & CEO Bob Maddocks said.

“Specifically, we can now offer fleets the option of running on the IBM DB2 database with the flexibility for larger fleets to add the well-known stability of the AS/400 platform,” Maddocks said.
