N.Y.-based Torvec, Inc., a transportation technology development company, has tapped Michael Martindale as its new CEO.
Martindale has held senior level positions at Xerox Corp. and Digital Equipment Corp., as well as at consulting firms Booz, Allen and Hamilton, KPMG Peat Marwick and SIGMA Consulting, where he was a co-founder.
He will focus on the development and marketing of Torvec’s unusual transportation-related technologies, including a system to increase tire traction on ice, windshields that repel ice, a transmission that reduces diesel soot emissions, and a fast tracked vehicle that goes where no 4x4 can, said the company.
