@Track Communications Inc. has introduced a GPS satellite-tracking product that provides nationwide truck location reporting and requires no driver interaction.

The system intelligence of the 20/20V allows fleet managers to choose reporting intervals from a number of plans. On-demand position requests are also available for individual trucks, fleets or sub-fleets.

An Internet-based host application provides fleet managers with anytime, anywhere fleet-management capabilities that include truck-location mapping down to street-level detail.

"Companies that have not yet adopted tracking systems because of high equipment and monthly messaging costs can benefit from this new tracking solution," said Michael Brown, director of product management for @Track. "We believe it meets the market demand for affordable tracking, providing carriers with fleet-location visibility that contributes to better customer service and improved fleet management."

The 20/20V unit can be installed in the truck cab. It operates from the tractor's battery power and transmits its location reports via the Cellemetryâ Data Service network.
