USA Truck's revenue and income rise

Truckload carrier USA Truck watched both its fourth quarter and 2001 revenue and net income improve, despite the poor economy. For the quarter, USA Truck said its operating revenues climbed to $62.4 million, an increase of 8.5% from $57.5 million for the same quarter of 2000. For the quarter, USA Truck said its operating revenues climbed to $62.4 million, an increase of 8.5% from $57.5 million for the same quarter of 2000. Net income increased to $624,277 for the fourth quarter of 2001, compared to net loss of $1.2 million.

For 2001, USA Truck said its operating revenues increased 11.4% to $252.4 million, up from $226.5 million in 2000. Net income for the carrier jumped 1,055.9% in 2001, climbing to $1.08 million from just $94,061 in 2000.
