    Xata scores major grocery sale

    Xata Corp. announced today that it has been awarded orders totaling $1.8 million by an undisclosed major company in the grocery industry. The orders cover installation of Xata's onboard computers and mobile application modules equipped with Global Positioning System (GPS) and Wi-Fi communications capabilities in more than 500 of the customer's trucks.     The orders cover installation of Xata's onboard computers and mobile application modules equipped with Global Positioning System (GPS) and Wi-Fi communications capabilities in more than 500 of the customer's trucks.

    Xata said the customer plans to implement the latest version of Xata's OpCenter fleet management system to enhance customer service and overall fleet efficiency.
