Xata Corp. unveiled the upcoming release of Xatanet version 2.0 yesterday at the American Trucking Assns.' annual conference.

Xata Corp. said the new release includes numerous product additions and software enhancements to further streamline fleet operations while promoting a more informed and intelligent enterprise. The company said Xatanet is a fleet management solution that includes Web-based applications, GPS, two-way satellite communications, onboard computers and driver displays.

Xatanet 2.0 is currently in testing phases and has already received considerable interest from private fleet customers, Xata said. It is scheduled to go live in January.
