FreightScan to debut dimensioning system

FreightScan LLC will be introducing its FreightScan FS100 automated dimensioning system at Air Cargo Americas 2007 in Miami, FL, November 7-9. The system, utilizing Defined Imaging and Multiple Measurement (DIMM) technology, enables cargo and logistics companies to calculate chargeable weight for multiple packages in a matter of seconds, the company said.

The FS100 system is designed to collect dimensions—within one inch of accuracy--of a one-lot shipment with a single scan, calculating chargeable weight immediately. It installs anywhere in a warehouse at a height of 15 ft. off the floor.

"Previously, dimensional data of cargo was an underdeveloped area for air cargo, trucking, freight forwarding companies and other segments of the logistics industry," said André L.
