G&D Integrated to use PeopleNet

PeopleNet has announced that G&D Integrated will deploy its onboard communications and fleet management system in the fleet’s 475 power units. This is G&D’s first large-scale deployment of onboard computing technology, PeopleNet said.

G&D, based in Morton, IL, provides trucking, distribution and integrated manufacturing for customers including Caterpillar and Komatsu as well as other heavy mining equipment makers, the company said.

“PeopleNet had the most mature application and the most value adds to give us better control and information,” said James Richardson, G&D’s CIO. We thought they were the most innovative too. And in the end the cost was right.”

Richardson said that G&D will implement PeopleNet’s PACOS, Fuel Tax and eDriver Logs applications.
