Hyster Co. has announced that its lift trucks “well exceed” federal EPA emission standards, and that most models also meet the more stringent 2010 rules set by the California Air Resources Board (CARB).

The company’s efforts in the area of alternative energy sources include battery technology, advanced energy storage devices and hydrogen fuel cells.

In addition to creating environmentally friendly products, Hyster ensures that the production methods used to make those products also meet the highest environmental standards. According to the company, its plants meet ISO 1400 environmental management standards.

“Hyster Company’s commitment to staying on the forefront of green research and technology is evident at every step of the truck manufacturing process,” says Paul Laroia, president of the company.
