International Truck and Engine Corp. today announced the launch of the International 4100, a new Class 5 conventional truck. Suited for a variety of vocational applications, like construction, landscaping, flatbed operations, and utility service, the new truck boasts all the key features of the International 4000 Series, including rugged medium-duty commercial truck components.

Available with either a 17,800-lb. or 19,500-lb. GVW rating, the International 4100 is powered by an International VT-365 engine with 230-hp and a 540 lb/ft torque rating, driven through an Allison 1000 Series transmission. According to the company, the new model offers superior maneuverability and visibility, as well as extended and synchronized service intervals for reduced maintenance and operating costs.

The 4100 features a spacious cab with available air-ride suspension, optional crew or extended cabs, and durable frame ladder system supported by a seven-year warranty. Other features include commercial grade, four-wheel hydraulic disc brakes with 15-in. rotors, and the exclusive International Diamond Logic Electric system, which is a self-diagnosing system that the manufacturer said brings integrated intelligence to truck operations. International’s new Aware Vehicle Intelligence telematics system is also available on the 4100.
