International names strategy vp
Ramin Younessi has joined International Truck & Engine Corp. as vp of truck group strategy and business operations.
Younessi, most recently gm & chief engineer of product validation at Freightliner, succeeds John Lamoureux at International, who is now vp-global sourcing and business development for the Warrenville, IL-based truck and engine maker.
“Ramin brings a wealth of knowledge about the truck business, technical expertise and high standards for performance along with a broad view of our marketplace to his new role,” said Dee Kapur, president of International’s truck group. “His confidence in our strategy … will help us expand our horizons even further.”
Younessi has spent 13 of his 20 years in the truck manufacturing industry with Freightliner in a variety of roles in domestic and international operations along with product development. He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology and holds Master’s degrees in electrical engineering and engineering management from Syracuse University and the University of Maryland, respectively.
