JDA offers latest fleet management software

Fleet Management v7.4.1, integrates ESRI’s ArcGis Network Analyst, a powerful geographic information system (GIS) and analysis toolset that will enable more efficient and environmentally-friendly distribution networks, according to JDA Software Group.

The software, formerly known as Manugistics, is designed to assist transportation planning, strategic asset management, route optimization and master delivery schedule creation, the company said.

"With ESRI's powerful real-world network analysis and Tele Atlas logistics data built into JDA Fleet Management, the system also empowers users to design optimized routes covering the least number of miles in the shortest possible time, resulting in more efficient fuel usage and minimized engine emissions," said Namita Dhallan, group vp of product management at JDA.  "We believe this ‘lean and green’ approach represents the next generation of environmentally-aware transportation management."
