Kenworth publishes White Paper spec guide

Kenworth has published a guide designed to help fleets and owner-operators select the appropriate powertrain for heavy-duty trucks.

The “Kenworth White Paper on Powertrain Spec’ing” features information on Cummin and Caterpillar engines, engine cooling systems, spec’ing considerations for powertrain lubricants, automated and manual transmissions, axles and drivelines, and suspensions and traction control options.

“The goal is to help ensure maximum performance, fuel economy, and vehicle life-cycle costs for fleets and owner-operators,” said Steve Gilligan, Kenworth’s general marketing manager.

The document will be available at www.kenworth.com under "Learn How To Spec Your Powertrain Effectively" or a printed form will be released at local Kenworth dealers starting in December.
