Knight opens Dallas brokerage center

Truckload carrier Knight Transportation is opening a new brokerage service center in Dallas, to be operated by its Knight Brokerage LLC subsidiary. The Dallas center represents the seventh brokerage service facility opened by the Phoenix-based carrier since it formed Knight Brokerage in mid-2005.

“The development of our brokerage model strengthens our relationships with our customers, giving them more options,” said Kevin Knight, chairman & CEO of Knight Transportation. “It is also a less capital-intensive way for us to grow our business.

“This expansion represents our continued progression as we build our brand as the premier national carrier, providing local service to the markets we serve,” he added.
