McLeod Software has announced the GPS Fuel Tax Module for its LoadMaster enterprise transportation management system. The module utilizes GPS position data to save fleet operators time and money, according to the company.

The system uses the information, captured from the LoadMaster Symphony Mobile Communication interface, to eliminate data entry and easily transfer the data to the fuel tax module for reporting purposes. This will streamline reporting processes and produce accurate in-state miles for the tractor’s movement, the company said.

"This latest enhancement to our enterprise management system automatically associates GPS positions with a particular movement and uses those points to calculate more accurate in-state mileage for fuel tax reporting," said Tom McLeod, president & founder of McLeod Software. "Fleets that are still using manual driver trip sheets to generate necessary fuel tax reporting data can now automate the collection of fuel and mileage information with this new GPS Fuel Tax Module."
