Navman Wireless releases new version of OnlineAVL

Navman Wireless North America, a subsidiary of Navman Wireless Holdings, has released OnlineAVL2, a successor to the company’s previous software, OnlineAVL1. According to the company, OnlineAVL2 provides fleet managers with vehicle position and activity details and new ways for businesses to view their assets’ location.

“Our new OnlineAVL2 is the result of significant customer feedback, millions in R&D and several years of development,” said Renaat Ver Eecke, vp, Navman Wireless North America. “These enhancements coupled with the software’s existing extensive range of features, makes our fleet management offering the most complete and cost effective solution on the market.”

OnlineAVL2 uses high-resolution satellite imagery and high aerial photography to capture a more realistic view of drivers’ surroundings, displaying assets according to current GPS location as well as roadways, structures, and parking areas near the trailer, the company said.
