Vehicle systems provider DriverTech has selected Navteq as its preferred digital map provider for the United States and Canada. DriverTech uses Navteq maps for its military and commercial fleet management systems.

As DriverTech's map data supplier, Navteq supports DriverTech’s DT4000 system-- an open, Windows XP-based, onboard computer system for vehicles. The DriverTech system provides an in-vehicle communications portal that provides the driver with information such as work assignments, GPS-based maps and engine data.

The DT4000 system immediately enables fleets to leverage many software applications as well as available and expandable wireless networks, Navteq said.

“Our selection of Navteq data gives DriverTech best-in-class mapping for our customers,” said Mark Haslam, president, DriverTech. “Integrating Navteq with the DriverTech system gives companies the real-time mapping they need.”
