Because of isolated conditions and long hours, it is difficult for truckers to keep healthy and seek out necessary medical care. According to the companies, 73% of drivers are classified as overweight and 32% have high cholesterol levels, while only 10% exercise regularly. However, 56% of drivers find it difficult to make appointments for health care at home and 62% while on the job.

"Without easy access to medical care, many drivers would put off going to the doctor as long as possible," said Joe Neely, CEO for Roadside Medical Clinics. "As for scheduling an appointment, have you ever tried to park a rig at your doctor's office? By developing health programs specifically for truckers and locating our clinics at Pilot Travel Centers, Roadside Medical will make it easy for drivers to integrate practical health care solutions into their schedules. We give them the health care they need, where they need it, when they need it—and most importantly—at a price they can afford."
