The International Brotherhood of Teamsters has announced securing agreements for more than 450 of its members at Allied Waste/BFI in Georgia, Alabama, and Florida after a year and a half of negotiations.
The contracts, which include wage increases, what the union calls “a more equitable” wage structure, and grievance procedures to improve job security, cover seven different Allied/BFI units in Atlanta, GA, Pensacola and Fort Walton Beach, FL., and Brewton and Mobile, AL.
The Teamsters added that its members at each unit approved the contract by a near unanimous vote.
