Teleflex Power Systems has announced the launch of a new line of auxiliary cab heaters for heavy-duty trucks they say will reduce fuel consumption up to 95% compared to idling for cab heat.

Proheat Air Heaters are diesel-poweredand work with the engine off, helping comply with state and local idling regulations. It is available in both 2 and 4 kW models.

“Teleflex is excited about the addition of Proheat Air to our existing Proheat coolant heating solutions. Proheat has been a trusted and reliable brand in the trucking industry for many years and we expect the same of Proheat Air”, said Derek Pettingale, director of marketing programs at Teleflex Power Systems. “This new heater expands the number of solutions we have for the truck market, and, for many operators, the cost savings could pay for the heater over a single winter season.”
