New Top Dog at Louisville Mar 28, 2008 10:46 AM LOUISVILLE, KY. After unveiling its newest heavy-hauler earlier this month at the ConExpo show, Mack Trucks introduced the Titan and its exclusive 16L powerplant to the on-highway market here at the Mid-America Trucking Show. The company also rolled out a new high-end “Rawhide” edition of its Pinnacle long-nose conventional aimed at the owner-operator market. advertisement
The new Titan is intended for off-highway and on-highway heavy-hauling applications such as logging, severe bulk hauling and heavy-equipment transport. It is the only Mack truck powered by the company’s new MP10 16L diesel, which produces up to 605 hp. and peak torque of 2060 lb.-ft. On the outside, the newest Pinnacle edition features a Texas chrome bumper, stainless steel cab and sleeper skirts, bullhorn exhaust stacks, and other chrome accessories. The Rawhide edition’s interior offers button-tuck ultra-leather seats, brushed nickel on the dash, and four interior color choices among its luxurious appointments. |
