Toyota’s U.S. arm taps Lentz

Toyota is promoting two executives to fill top slots within its North American operations.

Jim Lentz is the new president of Toyota Motor Sales, USA (TMS)– stepping up from executive vp – which is the sales, marketing, distribution and customer service arm for Toyota, Lexus and Scion vehicles in the U.S. He replaces Jim Press, who left Toyota earlier this year to join Chrysler.

Dian Ogilvie, currently TMS senior vp, general counsel & CEO, is being promoted to senior vp & secretary of Toyota Motor North America (TMA)– the holding company for Toyota’s U.S. sales and manufacturing companies. Ogilvie’s new responsibilities will include administration, corporate communications, industry and government affairs, planning and research, environmental affairs and diversity.
