UPS Canada workers are back on the job after the package delivery company and the Canadian Council of Teamsters quickly reached an agreement on a six-year contract. Their strike lasted only one day.
“We are pleased to announce an end to the work stoppage which commenced November 22," said Glenn Rice, President, UPS Canada. "We apologize to our customers for any disruptions. With the immediate reinstatement of service, we are working closely with customers to meet their needs.”
Effective immediately, UPS has restarted pick up and delivery of all services.
Delivery guarantees will be in effect for all shipments picked up on Wednesday, November 24, 2004.
