Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) has achieved a 25% improvement in freight efficeincy just half way through its development work as one of four truckmakers taking part in the Dept. of Energy’s SuperTruck program.  The overall goal for the program is a 50% reduction in freight efficency, which is defined as ton-miles per gallon of diesel fuel.

Addressing a winter press briefing, T.J. Reed, director of product strategy for DTNA’s Freightliner brand offered FleetOwner this video update on the project.
