April 15, 2014

A subcommittee of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s Motor Carrier Safety Advisory Committee will meet April 29-30 to discuss concepts for changes to the Compliance, Safety, Accountability program. MCSAC’s CSA subcommittee plans to prepare a letter for the full committee in May.

The subcommittee will identify and recommend CSA enhancements in various areas, including the Safety Measurement System and the interventions/investigative processes, and prioritize those recommendations. Comments suggesting topics to be considered may be submitted at www.regulations.gov until April 23 under Docket No. FMCSA-2006-26367.

The CSA subcommittee meeting is open to the public and will include a 30-minute public comment period at the end of each day. The meeting will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Eastern on April 29-30 at the Federal Highway Administration’s National Highway Institute, 1310 N. Courthouse Road, Suite 300, Arlington, Va. An agenda for the meeting will be available later on the MCSAC website.
