J.J. Keller has created a new online tool to help comply with OSHA’s alignment of the HazCom Standard with the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS). This alignment means big changes for hazard classification, labels and Safety Data Sheets (SDSs), the company said.
To eliminate confusion and make it easier for those dealing with chemicals to stay informed and compliant with the updated standard, J. J. Keller created the HazCom Label Manager at managehazcom.com.
Developed by the regulatory specialists at J. J. Keller & Associates, this onlie tool offers:
A free information center providing plain-English explanations of the latest HazCom news on regulatory changes.
Label wizards that guide users through the creation of compliant GHS, NFPA and HMIS III labels. Users can purchase blank label stock from J. J. Keller to print labels on their office computers, or submit labels online for J. J. Keller to print and ship to them.
“Changes to the HazCom standard are going to affect most workplaces, and maintaining compliance will require the right information and the right labels,” said Robert Ernst, editor of workplace safety content for J. J. Keller. “This new service is truly a user-friendly way to help manage compliance, all with one simple resource.”
