The Hanover Motor Show for commercial vehicles was the venue chosen by Heinz-Jurgen Low, President of Renault Trucks, to announce that the company will be completely revamping its range of trucks in 2013. More specifically, the company’s Long Distance, Construction and Distribution ranges will get completely new models in the spring of next year.
Low was quoted as saying "In June, there will be a real revolution. Our new vehicles are going to surprise you, not only in terms of their design but also their performance. We are aiming for excellence and are doing everything to attain it." The driving force behind the change are the new engines which Renault has prepared for its upcoming trucks, all of which are Euro 6-compliant.

The company’s heavy duty range will be powered by a new 11-liter six-cylinder unit (DTI 11), while medium duty trucks will get an 8-liter six-cylinder unit (DTI 8). They will also be offering robotized gearboxes which they claim reduce fuel bills by up to 7%.
