PERC renews sponsorship of ACT Expo

Feb. 20, 2014

The Propane Education & Research Council (PERC) has renewed its support as a presenting sponsor for the 2014 Alternative Clean Transportation (ACT) Expo. This year’s event will be held May 5-8 at the Long Beach Convention Center.

PERC said its presenting sponsorship for the clean vehicle expo means propane autogas will once again be a focus in educational seminars, technology advancements, and keynote presentations. PERC, a nonprofit organization focused on research and development, commercialization, and the deployment of new propane-fueled technology, has long invested in the growing alternative fuel transportation sector.

“Propane autogas is playing an increasingly important role in reducing emissions, strengthening our domestic energy economy, and improving the economics of green transportation for thousands of fleets across the country,” Roy Willis, PERC president and CEO, said. “As a presenting sponsor, we look forward to demonstrating the financial and environmental benefits of propane autogas and providing the resources that fleets can use to evaluate their alternative fuel options.”

Fleet managers can preview new propane-autogas-fueled vehicle technology, explore industry resources, and talk with PERC staff at its expo hall booth, #911. PERC will also host one of the conference’s educational seminars, featuring a Q&A with fleet managers moderated by Tucker Perkins, PERC’s chief business development officer. Additionally, Willis will provide remarks on the state of the propane autogas market, which doubled vehicle sales in 2013 and is projected to grow through 2020.

Details on the conference agenda, registration rates, and speakers can be found at actexpo.com.
