The Ohio Dept. of Transportation is replacing its old traffic information website with one where drivers can see real-time updates about road closures, bad weather and other delays.

Users can view information about accidents, current highway speeds, road closures and construction areas. Winter road conditions also will be available from November to April each year.

The website, ohgo.com, was unveiled this week as a more user-friendly site developed for use on computers and other devices, including mobile phones and tablets.

The site is designed save drivers time and money by helping them pick the best route to travel so they can avoid sitting in traffic, according to ODOT Director Jerry Wray.

The site replaces BuckeyeTraffic.org.
