I was reminded of this recently when I was reading the Chicago Tribune and saw an article titled “No need to idle in cold.” The article talked about the fact that people believe they need to warm up their cars in winter before they drive. It went on to point out that this was a misconception and in fact because of technologies like electronic fuel injectors warming up was unnecessary. The article also pointed out the obvious negatives of idling: wasting fuel and discharging greenhouse gas emissions.

http://fleetowner.com/running-green/winter-does-not-have-mean-idling#comments Fleet Management Fuel News Running Green Fri, 16 Jan 2015 14:42:00 +0000 147881 at http://fleetowner.com CARB certifies Roush CleanTech retrofits http://fleetowner.com/running-green/carb-certifies-roush-cleantech-retrofits

The California Air Resources Board (CARB) has issued certifications for Roush CleanTech retrofit systems for all Ford 6.8L vehicles, model-years 2012 to

http://fleetowner.com/running-green/carb-certifies-roush-cleantech-retrofits#comments Equipment Fuel News Running Green Fri, 16 Jan 2015 14:12:00 +0000 147831 at http://fleetowner.com Kinetics Hybrid system now part of Drive Clean Chicago voucher program http://fleetowner.com/running-green/kinetics-hybrid-system-now-part-drive-clean-chicago-voucher-program

Crosspoint Kinetics said that its Kinetics Hybrid electric hybrid system has been approved for inclusion in the Drive Clean Chicago “fleet-greening”
