Derive Systems offers engine calibration software for Ford Transit

Feb. 24, 2015

Derive Systems has released new engine calibration software to improve fuel economy of the Ford Transit with 3.7L or 3.5L engines.

“Businesses select the Ford Transit because their fleets require a highly customizable vehicle,” said Tom Kanewske, senior director of business development. “Derive addresses the most significant portion of this customization challenge by delivering a focused engine solution that directly lowers the bottom-line maintenance and fuel costs.”

The software includes a top-speed limiter and reduces idle rpm by 30%.

“At Derive, we realize that each industry operates the same vehicle differently. By understanding these differences, we are able to deliver a client-specific solution that addresses a fleet’s most significant budget drivers – fuel, maintenance and insurance,” added Kanewske.

Derive also offers engine software calibration products for Ford, Chevrolet, GM, Chrysler, Nissan, Toyota, Paccar, Mercedes, Caterpillar, Cummins and Detroit Diesel engines.
