Subscribers to Mitchell 1’s ProDemandrepair software now have access to a special free preview of the company’s newest product, SureTrack.

SureTrack helps technicians quickly find diagnosis and repair information about real problems on real vehicles, Mitchell 1 said.

“Knowing what others have experienced in servicing vehicles with similar symptoms to the vehicle in your bay can really improve both the quality of the diagnosis and the throughput of vehicles in your shop,” said Ben Johnson, director of product management for Mitchell 1.

SureTrack includes not only the parts that tend to fail and the symptoms they exhibit, but also includes indicators of the mileage at which these parts commonly fail. Tips are included to help the technician validate component operation with component tests and comparison values.

“SureTrack puts all the information in a single location, so technicians no longer have to search multiple databases with multiple logins and subscriptions to find the information they need to complete the repair efficiently and accurately,” added Johnson.

“Integrating this powerful tool with the industry-leading OEM repair informationincluded in ProDemand gives shops an end-to-end solution for diagnosing, estimating and performing the needed repairs.”

According to Mitchell 1, the benefits of using SureTrack include:

  • Real-world fixes written by technicians
  • Most commonly replaced parts with mileage failure trends based on real repair orders for the specific vehicle and diagnosis
  • Guided component tests
  • Waveform and graph library from actual on-vehicle tests
  • Life-line access to a community of expert technicians

The special preview period extends through September 2013. Mitchell 1 will continue to enhance the product during the preview phase, the company said.

In addition, current OnDemand5 customers who upgrade to ProDemand, as well as all new customers who purchase ProDemand, will also have access to SureTrack for free during the preview period.
