Jump Technologies has added route optimization capabilities to its cloud-based JumpTrack proof-of-delivery solution. The new capabilities can transform an unordered list of stops into an optimized delivery sequence, ultimately reducing operational costs of the fleet, the company said.

“Helping our customers conserve miles driven through economical routing and scheduling has a big pay-off for fleets of all sizes,” said John Freund, CEO and chief technologist. “Saving just 10 mi. per day adds up to $600 per month per truck. Plus, running the most efficient routes possible improves customer service by getting deliveries to customers faster and on-time.”

JumpTrack Optimization allows users to program schedule parameters for each driver, such as lunch and restricted delivery times for particular customers. Another feature automatically sends an email notification to a customer when their delivery is completed and includes a link to the website to view delivery details. Route optimization is an add-on feature to JumpTrack and costs $55 per month for each route that is optimized.

JumpTrack Optimization is currently available on Android and will be available for iPhone and iPad by May 1.
