In Canada, combined Class 4-8 truck sales last month climbed 24.6% from the year-ago figure, on a daily-rate basis, to record a volume of 4,057 units, per a news report posted on WardsAuto.com by editorial director David E. Zoia.

“The performance offset a 12.1% drop in May to bring volume up 0.5% to 20,527 units for the first six months of 2014,” reported Zoia.

In the news item, Zoia pointed out that June’s figures “continued the every-other-month pattern in Canada’s big-truck market” seen so far this year.
