Advantech adds to MRM line
Advantech has added two products to its Mobile Resource Management (MRM) product line—the VITA-350P mobile data terminal and the TREK-305R vehicle mount display panel.
According to the company, the VITA-350P monitors vehicle performance data--including vehicle and engine speed, fuel level, brake switch status, and odometer data—from long-haul trucks, private delivery fleets, waste disposal fleets, tank fleets, couriers, trailers, and utility fleets.
VITA-350P also includes Advantech’s MRM utility, a flexible human machine interface that allows users to customize fleet management applications in a Windows XP environment and save GPS data log files to the onboard flash, the company said.
The TREK-305R is a 5.7” TFT display panel that provides GIS (geographical information system) data to both fleet owners and drivers, making dispatch and two-way communication easier, Advantech said. It features a resistive touch screen and mounting kit for quick installation.
