Tire pressures have become such an important issue for fleets seeking to improve fuel efficiency as well as to reduce costs through longer tire life, monitoring the pressure is quickly becoming a priority for fleet managers and drivers.
A new collaborative agreement between Doran Manufacturing and DriverTech brings real-time monitoring of pressures using the Doran 360 tire pressure monitoring system to the cab as well as the back office, according to Doran.
“We are excited to offer the capability to communicate tire pressure information and critical low pressure warnings to both the driver and fleet managers” said Doran gm Jim Samocki. “We are proud to be working with a high-caliber company like DriverTech, to expand their capabilities into tire pressure monitoring.”
By using DriverTech’s Windows embedded onboard computing and mobile communications system TruckPC, drivers and managers at fleet headquarters can monitor tire pressures at the same time, in real time.
