FleetSeek, the online database of trucking fleet data, has updated its fleet profile screen to provide more relevant fleet location and safety characteristic data. The changes are effective as of today.

Email search and database generation options have also been added. FleetSeek is owned by Penton Media, parent to Fleet Owner.

Among the changes users will see are a new Google map in the upper right-hand corner and both mailing and physical addresses displayed in the left-hand column for each listing.

The Dept. of Transportation’s new CSA BASICs data for each carrier is also listed. Included in this dataset are yes or no responses to each of the publically available data categories (unsafe driving, fatigued driving, driver fitness, controlled substances or alcohol, and vehicle maintenance). If a “Y” appears in a BASIC category, that indicates the number of incidences for the element under consideration has exceeded the threshold established for peer companies, and/or, there may have been a serious violation within the past 12 months.

Some fleets will not have BASIC scores at this point due to insufficient information. That data will be updated as it becomes available, FleetSeek said. Also, the information contained in the BASIC fields are not searchable at this time.

A fleet’s old SafeStat safety ratings have been removed from the FleetSeek display screen, but do remain as a search field in the database.

FleetSeek maintains contact information and market data on nearly 200,000 trucking companies, private fleets, and owner-operators.
