Combining GPS location information with fuel purchase data from fuel card providers, TaxTally GPS automatically calculates and prepares quarterly IFTA fuel-tax reports, according to developer Prophesy Transportation Solutions. 

The new offering integrates Prophesy’s existing fuel tax reporting software with its GPS-based truck tracking system.  In addition to automating fuel tax data collection and reporting, it identifies overpayment of taxes, produces official commercial mileage summaries by state, reduces tax processing and filing time, and allows users to directly download state tax rate updates, according to the company.
