Reflecting the growing trend in the trucking IT market for more business partnerships and system integration among solution providers, Rand McNally’s MileMaker and IntelliRoute mileage and routing applications have been integrated with Aljex’s hosted transportation management software for motor carriers, freight brokers and third-party logistics providers.
Aljex pointed out that as a result, its customers can quickly and easily generate Rand McNally mileage and truck-specific routes without leaving their working Aljex application.
The company noted that MileMaker distances will automatically populate the appropriate fields in Aljex screens and documents. In addition, Aljex said there is no need to re-enter mileage data, which it noted saves time and eliminates copying errors.
MileMaker, the original and preeminent mileage application, offers accurate distances for rating, routing, and billing, said Aljex, while IntelliRoute provides efficient, truck-sensitive routing that avoids restricted roadways, bridges, and tunnels.
