Bendix ADB22X heavy-duty air disc brakes will be available on the Mack Pinnacle Axle Forward and Axle Back models as well as Volvo VN and VT model trucks, the two OEMs have announced. According to Mack, disc brakes offer superior braking performance, reduced brake fade on long downhills, longer component life and easy maintenance.

Mack will initially offer the Bendix disc brakes on 12,000 lb. front and 40,000 lb. rear supplier axles. Volvo will offer them on VNs and VTs with front axle ratings from 12,000 to 13,200 lbs. and 40,000-lb. rear axle ratings. www.bendix.com
